Zack I wanted to let you know that I was very impressed with the 4L60E transmission I purchased from you last year. Right from the start I was impressed with the entire process, your international delivery and service was efficient the transmission and converter arrived as promised and performed flawlessly. I had heard about Gear Star transmissions from some Air force buddies that were stationed in Saudi Arabia. I was impressed to hear that you had been providing transmissions for the cars that guided the planes down the run ways and the Suburban and pick-up trucks used to move personnel and equipment around. Since I new that temperatures routinely hovered in the 120 degrees and the vehicles were very aggressively driven I knew that your transmission would be up to the task in my 1999 SS Camaro, putting 420hp to the rear wheals. Your transmission has definitely held up to the challenge. The roads here in Spain are without police patrol, and I was able really to open the car up. The true test came when I was cruising and an Aston Martin passed by. We challenged each other, I respected him and let him lead, but stayed at his pace the entire time. Not realizing it… we were doing 155mph, and the transmission was steady and still under 5200rpm. I could not be happier with my purchase. I highly recommend your transmissions to all my friends. Thank you Gearstar!!!!

You have a great company, that gives great customer service. You have a fast turn around on transmissions, that are fully DYNO tested before they are shipped. I have friends who bought transmissions from other companies that claim to DYNO test and the trans that they received was clean and dry inside. Unless they tear them back down and clean them out they are misrepresenting their product. These friends will be going to GearStar from now on.

I wanted to let you guys know the car runs great. I had a blast last night on my way home. I put her sideways a couple times for shits and giggles. It does have a hard time hooking up, but that's a good thing. I will just have to get some bigger tires. I can't wait to pull up next to a ricer and blow him away. Thanks to GearStar, I finally have and overdrive transmission that performs under extreme conditions perfectly. It has a 383 pushing 500hp with 150 shot of nitrous. A 200 R4 trans with 410 gears. It runs low 11's in the quarter mile.

I took my 05 F350 witth banks package on it to Gear Star for a transmission I pull a 20 foot trailer 12.000 pounds for FEMA I drive 80.000 miles a year this is my d transmission in this truck I wanted it done right I was tired of having my truck down, I spoke to Zack he was very professional on the phone with no B.S his price was a more expensive than the other transmission shops but I liked what he had to say so I brought the truck to them they removed my transmission and remanufactured it level 3 with a billet converter I have just over 50.000 miles on the trasnsmission and I can say that the difference between what I had and what gear star did is like night and day, These guys are the real deal I would not take my trucks anywhere else, I sent my dad and brother to them and they are both very happy with their transmission. Writing to say thanks for the 200-4R transmission your team built for my 1955 Chevy. It now shifts gears with swiftly and with the exact response I was looking for. The technical assistance I received before and after the purchase was excellent and your professional staff needs to be complimented for taking the time to answer all of my questions.

My son and I have recently started a new project and are requesting another 200-4R Gearstar transmission be built for his 1929 Ford Tudor Sedan Hemi car. Looking forward to working with you and your staff again.

Hi Zack,
Tim yesterday, and David Stoker this morning asked me to get you my before and after gas-mileage figures. I dug through my records from the month I drove the truck with the Turbo Hydro 350, and then on Americruise with the Gearstar 4L60E. Off the top I can tell you I picked up about 2-3 MPG overall from stock (as high as 18 MPG). This was compiled from 5,200 miles of highway, and some city driving. Bear in mind that my truck has 3.07:1 gears so it is only turning 2050 RPM at 80 MPH. Another thing that helped the gas-mileage by doing the 4L60E conversion was I picked up a lower first gear so now the truck is quicker off-the-line, and my city mileage improved. After almost 15,000 miles of extreme abuse the 350 engine in my '79 has developed some bad oil leaks, and terrible knocking sounds as well. In the near future I'm going to pull the 350 out, and plug-in a late 5.3 junkyard motor behind the Gearstar 4L60E. Getting much better gas-mileage is the key to survival for these old trucks. From the very start I've had my sights on over 20 MPG for this truck. I'll keep you posted as the swap progresses.
